a lovely stay!
home charm fast wifi dvd player clean room
i really loved the room. it had such a home from home charm. the host was amazing (super friendly and helpful!). i would definitely stay here again. it seemed like a fancy home from home. little things made it special, like the sofa to chill out on and the great tv with a dvd player. there were even dvds to watch and a bookcase full of books. wifi was super fast. the room was really clean. the next day, i even got a nice text to check if all was good.
the only thing i could mention is that i missed my pillow a little.

Hot drinks facilities were available. It made making a cup of tea easy. a bar called the woodside is only a five minute walk down the hill.

the room was sizeable and the bed and pillows were comfy. there was also a great ensuite shower. the room had a smart tv so i could log in to my streaming services.

the hotel is within walking distance of the centre. it is also not far from the university or the hoe. i found the location easy to find.

the owner was really friendly and easy to communicate with (and gave us a lift into town!). customer service from start to finish was excellent. i felt welcomed, and nothing was too much bother.

my room included a smart tv and dvd player. the wifi worked super fast i could stream movies. there was also a bookcase full of books for reading.
the room was cool.

an ok stay, i guess
unclean towels outdated vibe
the price was alright, i suppose. it was perfect for the price.
well, the towels i got seemed not clean. i suspect they weren't properly washed since my husband had some issues after using them. also, the whole place had this odd vibe, like someone's grandma decorated it and never updated anything. it felt a bit like stepping back into the 70s, but not in a cool, retro way.

quiet location comfy bed shower room
i found the location convenient. it was not far from town. the room had hot drinks making facilities and a shower room.. i also had a comfy bed and pillows.
i thought my single room was a bit cool.
